All the Trooper and Shiloh puppies have gone to their new homes where they are loved and treated as family members. A lot of work goes into finding just the right homes for these special tykes, Elaine and Mark Hudson did a bang up job with this litter. I was lucky enough to meet Quinn's and Mostly's owners in person. I keep in touch with the puppy owners through our facebook group and via phone and texting. It is so much fun to see how the pups are progressing, questions are always welcome. It was a hard decision for me since I had pick puppy and I wanted a male, there were only 2. I spent the later part of Wednesday at Elaine and Mark's place playing with the pups and asking questions. After an exhausting Thursday helping hold the pups for their 1st set of shots and microchipping as well as trying to take photos of their ridges, stacks, head shots I still hadn't made my official decision. I had been leaning towards Red Boy because I liked his attitude, his warm greeting of the humans coming on the property. He had great bone and something about eyes that would just gaze at me with love made me pick him. I also asked Elaine for her input since she knows me and my other dogs, her input and Mark's was invaluable and validated my decision. This what a good dog breeder does, it is a labor of love and pride as their litter goes out into the world. Hopefully 3 pups will be heading to the show ring, the others will be involved in other energetic activities that I will love hearing about. Poor Jade, she had to wait till 3pm on Thursday for me to text her which male she would be getting, turns out Red/Black Boy has been a perfect fit for her!
