Winter 2015
This winter I took Rebel through the process so that he could be a therapy dog for Therapy Dogs Inc who are much less concerned with the politics of having multiple therapy dogs then Therapy Dogs International. Rebel passed his 1st test then went on to do 3 supervised visits with a certified therapy dog team. Everyone loved Rebel, especially his tester. So now I rotate all my dogs when I do therapy dog visits at Good Samaritan Nursing Home.
March
Signed Titan up for a 2 day obedience competition set for March 7th and 8th. We needed 2 more legs(qualifying scores) to get his Graduate Novice title. On Sat Titan won 1st place in the class with a score of 192 out of 200, our 2nd leg is down. Sunday Titan forgot to pay attention to me on the 'Down on Recall' and did not move when I called 'come'. We finished all the other exercises beautifully but too late since his failure to 'come' disqualified us. Nobody else qualified in the Graduate Novice class that day. We continue to practice in hopes of getting his last leg in June..fingers crossed.
