september-December 2018
In September Titan was diagnosed with a malignant tumor under his left shoulder blade. We could have opted for surgery but the vet wasn't sure we could get all the tumor or that it wouldn't come back. Cutting into the shoulder muscle meant that Titan would have to be kept quiet for a couple weeks to heal. To me that wasn't quality of life, so we let Titan do what I he loved to do most, run on the Cynara Ranch, play with his pack, and do his therapy dog work at the juvenile center where I now work. By mid October Titan was loosing his appetite and energy, so on October 13, 2018, I released Titan to run to the Rainbow Bridge. I miss my big red boy so much, the spot on the sectional where he liked to lay is empty and so is my heart. Titan had a great 10.5 yrs, I would have liked more, but he gave me so much..I hold my memories close. Titan is sorely missed by all who met this extraordinary dog!
